I just recently beat Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I know i'm a bit late on this game but I got it for cheap a few months ago and I recently found the time to play through the campaign and actually beat it. It gave me hard times on some of the maps but i'm just glad that I was finally able to clear the campaign.
One thing i'm disappointed with though is that my favorite character, The Beast (an enemy CO you meet early in the campaign) wasn't playable in the vs mode which I don't get since every other enemy CO can be unlocked.
After the realization, I decided to do a little tribute to him. In one scenario in the campaign, after you beat him, it's revealed that he escapes you by hiding under a pile of dead soldiers and runs away when the coast is clear which I thought was bad ass, so I depicted it here. I find his theme song pretty awesome as well, [link]

I played and finished the European version of the game, the EU nomenclatures for the characters were much better.
The Beast = Zaklov
Greyfield = Sigismundo
Tasha = Zadia
Etc...
Each of their name a reference to somebody that really existed and was close in personality to the in-game character.
